THE BEGINNING OF STUDIO BOVTI ́S JOURNEY

After almost two years of experimentation and the creation of Studio Bovti, Galerie Sammlung Amann presents the works of Studio Bovti to the public for the first time on 6th of September 2024 and this also marks the celebrat- ion of the founding of the studio.

For me it is a great pleasure to be part of this unique story.

Almost exactly one year ago, Inna and Marius asked me if there would be a possibility to show their products – they were still in a developing phase – in my gallery. In a way the project is a perfect match for Galerie Sammlung Amann because it tries to create a platform for young and fresh positions, be it in the field of art or in design. Studio Bovti enligns into a series of exhibiti- ons and projects with evolving talents.

After seeing the first sketches and prototypes in their portfolio I was fasci- nated about their approach and their enthusiasm, and we decided to do an exhibition in 2024 so they had a deadline of exactly one year to push things and concepts further towards products that can be sold.

Seeing the result now in the gallery and their use of the space, I am overw- helmed and confident that this journey of discoveries is just the beginning of something that will attract a lot of attention.

I hope the exhibition will work as an initial booster for their further career, I hope they will not lose their playfulness, their uniqueness and their enthusi- asm.

ABOUT STUDIO BOVTI

Studio Bovti is the joint work of Inna Strokous and Marius Schwald, whose fo- cus is the realization of unique furniture and objects through a combination of craft by hand and digital production methods.
The main features of their approach are a bold use of materials, playful forms and the powerful expression of thoughts and feelings.

The projects deliberately differ from one another in their formal language, appearance and materiality. In this way, Studio Bovti ensures that their joy of experimentation is never lost and that they pursue new visions and challen- ges in their daily work with a touch of healthy naivety.

Studio Bovti sees their process as an expression of joy. They celebrate the instincts of the inner child that are within all of us and deserve a voice. At the same time, viewers’ perceptions are also relevant, and the objects invite the imagination.

In each project Studio Bovti expresses their passions and love for art by creating handmade objects of the highest quality.

JOURNEY

After Inna Strokous graduated in architecture and Marius Schwald in interior design, both began their professional careers at the Stuttgart interior design studio ‘Studio Alexander Fehre’.
After just a few years, Inna Strokous took over the management of the office as Art Director and Marius as Project Manager. The spectrum of activities ranges from high-quality private construction projects to working environ- ments for well-known fashion brands such as Breuninger and hotel areas for the Hyatt hotel chain.

In addition to numerous awards, the interior design is characterized by its multifaceted attention to detail. Based on this experience, Studio Bovti has developed the idea of focussing on furniture and objects designed by Studio Bovti itself.
